Jannatul Baqee is the final resting place of some of the most revered figures in Islamic history, including Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) beloved family—his grandsons Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (pbuh), Imam Zainul Abideen (pbuh), Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (pbuh), Imam Jaffer as-Sadiq (pbuh) and the Mothers of Karbala, who endured unimaginable suffering. According to one tradition, it is also the burial site of Lady Fatima (pbuh), the Prophet's only daughter, as well as Lady Fatima Binte Asad (pbuh), the mother of Ameer ul Momineen Ali Ibn Abi Talib (pbuh). Additionally, several of the Prophet’s (pbuh) closest companions rest here, further highlighting the site's immense spiritual and historical significance.

On April 21st, 1926, the Saudi Regime with its Wahhabi ideology desecrated these sacred graves, destroying the tombs and leaving the resting places of these honored figures unsheltered. This tragedy took place in one of the holiest places on Earth just steps away from the shrine of the Prophet of Allah (swt). It has now remained a deep wound for Muslims. For over a century, these graves have been left neglected and we are prevented from approaching them to offer our respects and honor their legacy.

Through the Baqee Virtual Reality Experience, we aim to raise awareness of this historical injustice and the urgency of restoring and protecting Jannatul Baqee. This VR serves as a call to remember and cherish our sacred heritage and to unite in the effort to preserve these holy sites for future generations.
