Baqee Organization Condemns Restrictions to Worship at Masjid Al Aqsa in Jerusalem

In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Merciful

The Baqee Organization strongly condemns the restrictions to worship at Majid Al Aqsa, a sacred site. We understand the sensitivity of that sacred complex and the geopolitical issues connected with it. We call on all parties to exercise caution and refrain from further escalating the issue. Human life, the sanctity of holy site and harmony amongst community should be top considerations. The Masjid Al Aqsa and adjacent facilities that together form the sacred complex for Muslims, Christians, Judaism and other religions. The sacred sites should not be leveraged for scoring political points and/or enforcing authority for political gains. All sacred sites are places of sanctity and deserve respect and consideration from all human beings. We strongly believe that all sacred sites must provide every believer the right to practice their faith and traditions according to their beliefs. Government or religious institutions should not restrict or enforce individuals in practicing and following traditions according to their beliefs. Every person has the right to practice their faith and worship in any place he or she considers sacred.

Baqee Organization is pursuing similar objective for fair treatment of pilgrims of Jannat-ul-Baqee in Saudi Arabia where regular Muslims are tortured and abused by the state sponsored Wahabi ideology. Hate has the same face in all religions, cultures, and languages – it is ugly. Criminals behind the desecration and restriction at sacred sites. In recent past, the terrorists following Wahabi teachings have destroyed the shrines of Prophets that are respected by Jews, Christians and Muslims, such as Prophet Jonah in Nineveh, Prophet Daniel in Mosul, Prophet Jirjis in Mosul, and Prophet Seth in Mosul. They have also destroyed numerous places of worships throughout middle-east. Apart from the destruction of heritage sites, there has been a systematic approach in displaying physical aggression on pilgrims visiting the cemetery especially women, which is a humanitarian issue.

The Baqee Organization urges relevant government institutions and United Nations to hold perpetrators responsible for inciting violence and hatred. All peace loving individuals should stand up to hate and oppression. Additional details of the organization can be found on www.baqee.org website.
