Condemns Vandalism at Chesed Shel Emeth Jewish Cemetery

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Baqee Organization strongly condemns the vandalism of headstones on Sunday, February 19th or early Monday, February 20th, 2017 at the Chesed Shel Emeth Jewish Cemetery, located in the St. Louis suburb of University City. We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and feel it was victimized in this incident that we believe was a hate crime. A cemetery is the final resting place of the deceased and a sacred place for living relatives & loved ones. Any disrespecting act against a grave is an attack on living relatives and loved ones. We urge the relevant investigative teams to pursue the culprits and bring them to justice. We empathize with the Jewish community because we too have been victimized by the hate groups. One of famous Muslim cemetery, Jannat-ul-Baqee in Medina, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was desecrated by the rulers of that nation following the Wahabi ideology. Hate has the same picture in all religions, cultures and languages – it is ugly. Criminals behind the desecration of Jewish graves should be prosecuted just as the Wahabi criminals of Saudi Arabia that destroyed Jannat-ul-Baqee. In recent past, the terrorists following Wahabi teachings have destroyed the shrines of Prophets that are respected by Jews, Christians and Muslims, such as Prophet Jonah in Nineveh, Prophet Daniel in Mosul, Prophet Jirjis in Mosul, and Prophet Seth in Mosul.
